Confidence Tips!

The relationship you have with yourself and your confidence creates the foundation and direction of your life.





I always thought I was positive, I could look at challenges from a well rounded 360 view. I would encourage, believe and cheerlead others brilliantly. However when it came to me although I always pushed through relentlessly, even if I had tears and anxiety along the way I felt like an imposter, I felt not good enough, I was often fearful to share my viewpoint or ideas. I was drowning in self doubt and if I am honest it simply became my way of life. I worked on my self development yet I could never really break the cycle and feel as important, relevant, capable as so many others around me.


I knew I had to move out of this cycle and CREATE DEEPER POSITIVE CHANGE!


Tip #1 - TAKE A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO BUILDING YOUR CONFIDENCE.


If you have tried affirmations, try them in a different format or time of day.

If you have been talking to your friends, gain a different support arm that creates deeper growth.

If you have been starting the day and finishing the day in the same ways for years, try a different, more positive and confidence building ritual.



Tip #2 - WHO ARE YOU?


What are your beliefs about yourself?

What is most important to you in life?

When was the last time you explored your core values and checked in on where they show up in your life? I do a values exercise with many of my clients and it can help truly clarify who you are and what is most important to you in life. This can be a pivitol moment for unlocking who you really are, shredding away the confidence doubts!

Tip #3 - GATHER ALL POSITIVE INFO ABOUT YOU.


Create a folder with all of the beautiful positive texts, emails, phrases that have been said to you, ever! We all have dips in confidence so even when your confidence is growing this is a great go to for you to use at any point in your day, week, month, life! If you keep your momentum when it is growing or high you will have less dips.


Tip #4 - START AND END THE DAY WITH A CONFIDENCE BUILDING RITUAL.


Here are some ideas, however it is important that you pick or create something that resonates with you:


  • Journal- Reflection & questioning time

  • Workout- endorphins!

  • Walk/run in nature- Seratonin hit!

  • Meditate- Grounding

  • Read or listen( Think up) to your own tailored affirmations- This is who you truly are!

  • Cold Shower- 1 minute is all it takes to let go and reframe!

  • Laugh out loud- releases negative emotions and thoughts!

  • Practice gratitude and either write it down or say it out loud- shifts perspectives and beliefs over time.

  • High 5 yourself in the mirror- be your number one cheerleader!


Tip #5 - BE YOUR NUMBER ONE CHEERLEADER


Imagine you are talking to your best and most loved friend whenever you talk, encourage or compassionately support yourself. When you do this it can spring in a whole new light and perspective on your own self love and confidence building journey.


WHEREVER YOU ARE NOW IS SIMPLY THE START!
